Tools We Use

When you’re just starting out blogging for the first time, there is so much to learn – including trying to figure out which tools to use. Every resource listed here we’ve used either in the past, or we’re actively using it today. We only recommend tools we have first-hand experience with – and if it’s on this list, our experience using it has been GREAT!

Training

You don’t NEED to pay for a course in order to find success blogging. We never paid for a course. Most everything you need is free online in various places. But the reality is, not everyone learns that way. They want more detail, guidance and structure. Jon’s course provides that and is 100% aligned with our process and approach to content sites. Oh, and Jon is making $100,000+ A MONTH with his sites…

Note: Jon only opens this course 6 times a year, for a week each time BUT if you put in your email you’ll have immediate limited access to sign-up!

Hosting

If you’re just starting out, Bluehost is great. It’s incredibly affordable, and it gets the job done. Both of us started our blogs on Bluehost!

CLOUDWAYS

Once you start to get a decent amount of traffic, we highly recommend you move over to Cloudways. Cloudways is FAST, has a 99% uptime, and can handle a ton of traffic. And all at a great price! It’s the host we both use today.

Display Ad Partners

ezoic

Mike’s site is currently monetized with Ezoic, making $1,200 a day! Ezoic is a fantastic partner, and amazing for NEW sites – there is no minimum page-view requirement. You can start earning with display ads today!

Keyword Research

Semrush has quickly become our go-to-tool for keyword research. It’s easy to use, and you can sign-up for a 7-day free trial. Give it a shot.

If you’re looking for faster page speed times, look no further than WP Rocket. This plugin is hands down the best for improving WordPress site performance. And it’s easy to set up.

A significant part of a website’s data is usually comprised of images. ShortPixel helps refine your images, and significantly decreases load times. If you’re not compressing your images, your site speed is suffering!
